quiet time

Talk about a lost day!

After lunch today the house was warm and I began falling asleep sitting up at the keyboard, so I laid down on the sofa for a cat nap. Hours later I’ve awakened disoriented, slowly realizing that it is after eleven at night, much too late to make afternoon phone calls or even do a proper blog post for you.

Dealing with other people’s problems will have to wait until tomorrow. There is lightning on the horizon, but it looks like there will be no rain here. The wind is blowing and the house is cool. A beautiful orange moon has just risen over the mountains. I have no problems of my own, or at least none I can think of.

A found night… coffee’s brewing on the stove… Tony’s curled up at my feet and purring contentedly… we’ll see what can be made of this beautiful quiet time.
